The Connecting the Culm Forum Launch event will bring together policy-makers, local authorities, funders, land owners, community groups and local residents to start work on the Blueprint for the Culm, our long-term plan for the catchment.
This is your chance to shape the future of the River Culm and the streams that flow into it.
The Launch event sparks off a week-long programme of activities and opportunities to input your thoughts and ideas. These will all be held online using interactive platforms and accessible ways to engage with the issues.
The event opens with an address by Lord Cameron of Dillington, formerly Chair of the Countryside Agency and a long-term advocate for a sustainable environment. We are also joined by Anna Rios Wilks, DEFRA’s Head of Research for Floods and Water who will talk about the connections between local action and national policy.
We’ll then be sharing the results of the project’s work to date and exploring the different platforms we have set up to help people add their thoughts and ideas online.
